rajivLast worked as political editor of the Times of India, Ahmedabad, in Gandhinagar, Gujarat’s capital, Rajiv covered the state government between late 1997 and early 2013. In formal journalism since 1979, before he joined the Times of India as assistant editor in 1993, Shah was special correspondent in Moscow, covering Mikhail Gorbachev’s rise and fall between 1986 and 1993 for Delhi-based daily Patriot and weekly “Link.” As a prolific blogger, Shah has been associated with the Times of India’s online blogging site.

As consultant, Shah edits counterview.org, set up as an interactive blogging platform by a group of rights-based voluntary organizations, Janvkias, Centre for Social Justice, Dalit Shakti Kendra and Navsarjan Trust.

He is also editor, www.counterview.net, a voluntary news and views site not associated or supported by any organisation.
