Every year SSC conducts the SSC CGL Exam for employee applicants for various divisions of administration under “Group C” and “Group B” posts. As per the latest updates, the SSC will release the official notification PDF on June 24th, 2024 for the SSC CGL 2024 Exam. SSC CGL 2024 Recruitment- Eligibility Criteria

The SSC has set some eligibility criteria to appear for the SSC CGL Exam 2024. The Eligibility Criteria are based on Education qualification, nationality, and age limit. Only the eligible applicants who fulfil the criteria will appear for the exam. Below you can find out the criteria based on last year’s notification:

Education Qualification

  1. Junior Statistical Officer (JSO): Bachelor’s Degree from an approved College with 60% marks in Maths in 12th class. OR bachelor’s degree with Statistics as a subject in graduation.
  2. Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer (AAO): A Bachelor’s degree from an authorized University. Additional Qualifications such as a CA, CMA, CS, M.COM, MBA (Finance), master’s in business studies, or master’s in business economies.
  3. Statistical Investigator Grade-2: Bachelor’s degree from an authorized university with Statistics, Economics, and Mathematics as an obligatory or optional subject.
  4. Assistant in National Company Law Appellate Tribunal: bachelor’s degree from a certified university. A law degree is preferred from a certified university.
  5. Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. And at least 1 year of research experience from a recognized Research Institution or any recognized university.  
  6. For Remaining posts: A Bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized university.

Nationality

An applicant must be an inhabitant of Nepal, India, or Bhutan. Or an individual of Indian origin who has migrated from Burma, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Uganda, East African countries of Kenya, Zambia, Zaire, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Malawi, or the United Republic of Tanzania with the purpose of setting in India enduringly.

Age Limit

The SSC has set some age limits for all posts. The lower age for it is 18 years and it can go to 32 years. If you want to know more about the age criteria of all the designated posts, then you can check the official notification by SSC in the coming days.
